„All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” This is the first sentence of the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on the 10 December 1948. Over the years it has become the accepted world standard of human rights.
Human rights and international humanitarian law are my reference framework and the values which guide my work in and on the Middle East. I am standing up to make all conflicting parties respect them.
To convey these values and to inform factually and comprehensively on the Middle East conflict and the current situation is my vital concern. Another important focus of my work is the support of the groups in the region working for human rights, peace and democracy. The Middle East conflict cannot be solved by military means but solely by political agreements. This is the position I am committed to.
